Cultural Heritage Kentucky Homefront Kentucky Theater Project

Kentucky Homefront fuses traditional and contemporary expression to create a sense of place. Each week thousands of listeners from across the region tune in to their local public radio stations and enjoy this celebration of cultural heritage.

The mantle of the Cultural Heritage Initiative is Kentucky Homefront, a radio show produced before a live audience at Kentucky Theater and aired weekly over public radio affiliates statewide, which features Kentucky storytellers and musicians.

Kentucky Homefront showcases more than 100 regional folk, multicultural, and youth performing artists each year to promote the preservation of Kentucky’s cultural and environmental homefront and to build a stronger, more inclusive community.
